Edgar “Ed” Lee Haseley, 80, of Ramsey, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at his home in Ramsey.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, with Pastor Joe Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, rural Vandalia, with Military Rites by Anderson-Scroggins Post 460, American Legion, Ramsey. Visitation will be held from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., one hour prior before service time at Miller Funeral Ramsey. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia. Ed was born July 17, 1941, in Shafter Twp., Fayette Co., the son of William Christian & Pearl Evelyn (Freitag) Haseley. He married Carol Kay (Hammon) Dorsey on March 25, 1980 in Vandalia, IL, she passed away on October 2, 2008. He was a retired farmer and mechanic at Ken’s Standard Station. Ed was a US Army Veteran and served in the Army and Army Reserves from 1963-1969; and a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Vandalia.

He is survived by a brother, Martin Haseley and Sharon, Farina; sisters, Edith A. Haseley; Freda Beccue, Altamont, and Julia Quick and Roger, Farina; sister-in-law, Marla Carter and Doug, Ramsey; and nephew – D.J. Carter, Ramsey.

He is preceded by his parents, and wife.
