The first Farmers Market of the 2021 season will be this Saturday, May 8 from 8 to 11 a.m. This is the second year for this incarnation of the event.
Beginning at 8 a.m., there will be a bucket drumming ensemble, followed by the Junior High performance at 9 a.m., and the high school band at 10 a.m.
Also at the Market will be Willenborg Farms, who will be bringing a few of their calves for visitors to see and learn about the dairy industry.
Cindy Morris of Cindy’s Celebrations will be providing free balloon creations to those attending, and will be located on the Vandalia Statehouse lawn. She will be making balloon animals, bouquets, columns, arches, centerpieces, and other creations.
A variety of vendors will also be on hand showing attendees their wares during those times.
The Fayette County Farm Bureau will also have a booth where visitors can learn how butter is made and they will receive a free pound of butter.
