Alyssa M. Rhodes, 29, of Charleston, died early Sunday morning, April 11, 2021 in rural Effingham, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

A public visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont, followed by a private family funeral service with Pee Wee Denton officiating. Burial will be in Griffith Cemetery, Brownstown. Memorials may be made to the Education Fund for Reagan and Myah.

COVID-19 protocol including but, not limited to face covering and social distancing will be required.

Alyssa Marie Rhodes was born on Saturday, May 4, 1991 to Darren Rhodes and Susan Sefton. She was affiliated with Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown. She was employed at Heartland Dental, Effingham as an Executive Assistant.

She is survived by; her father, Darren Rhodes, Brownstown; mother and step-father, Susan and Rick Rush, Brownstown; daughters, Reagan Barnes and Myah Burrus; brothers, Clayton Rhodes, Jamey Rhodes, and Matthew Rush, all of Brownstown; sisters, Alisa Rush, Effingham, Kailey Rush, Effingham, Hailey Rush, Brownstown, Skylar Ward, Brownstown, Nicole Taylor, Ramsey, and Abigail Crowell, Mattoon; nieces and nephews, Joel and Delaney Rhodes, Cadence and Axel Rush, and Avyree Rine; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
