Robert W. Hawkey, 85, St. Peter

Robert W. Hawkey, 85, of St. Peter, died at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Pagel Funeral Home in St. Peter. Burial with military rites will be in Keens Chapel Cemetery in rural LaClede. Visitation will be held from noon until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials: American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

Mr. Hawkey was born on Jan. 9, 1927, in Farina, the son of William and Eva Perry Hawkey. He married Else Muller on July 7, 1947; she died on Sept. 12, 2009.

He is survived by sons, Willie Hawkey and his wife Anna of Kinmundy, and Sonny Hawkey and his wife Debbie of St. Peter; and daughters, Annamarie and her husband Randy Jones of Sterling, Okla., Sherry and her husband Carroll Kline of Farina, and Pat and her husband Ed Pisula of Mt. Vernon.
