Gottman attends banking conference
Anita Gottman, banking center manager of Midland States Bank in Vandalia, attended the 2010 Women in Banking Conference held on Oct. 21-22 at the Hilton Hotel in Springfield. The conference was sponsored by the Illinois Bankers Association and the Illinois League of Financial Institutions. It brought together nearly 100 women in banking from throughout Illinois.
Sessions included: communications as a strategic business tool, mobile banking, mortgage market fraud and bank marketing, as well as many other banking issues and professional development topics.
The Illinois Bankers Association is a full-service trade association, dedicated to creating a positive business climate that benefits the entire banking industry and the communities they serve.
Founded in 1891, the IBA brings together state and national banks, savings banks, and savings and loan associations of all sizes in Illinois. Collectively, the IBA represents nearly 90 percent of the assets of the Illinois banking industry, which employs more than 100,000 men and women in 5,000 offices across the state.
The Illinois League of Financial Institutions is the statewide trade association that serves the state’s savings and community banking institutions. Its purpose is to serve the Illinois financial institution business and public interest by fostering thrift and home ownership, and by sustaining and promoting the legislative, regulatory and business interests of its members.
