    On Monday night, Vandalia lost to Carlyle, 21-25, 19-25.

  • SEB picks up two wins in EI...

    St. Elmo/Brownstown picked up two wins on the second night of the Egyptian Illini Conference Tournament on Tuesday at St. Elmo.
    The Lady Bombers defeated Ramsey in two games, 25-17, 25-23, and Mulberry Grove in two games, 25-22, 25-18.

  • SCHS wins Bronze Pool at NTC...

    South Central won the championship of the Bronze Pool at the National Trail Conference Volleyball Tournament.
    The Lady Cougars defeated Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 25-18, 25-16, to win the pool championship.

    The Vandalia Junior High School Lady Vandals seventh- and eighth-grade teams both defeated Effingham St. Anthony last Thursday.
    The eighth-graders won 23-10 – Kershaw 2; Berry 0; Satterthwaite 0; Dagen 0; Lidy 7; Kaiser 1; Forbes 0; Lupton 0; Shields 0; Mouser 0; Bowles 0; Protz 13.
    The seventh-graders won, 28-9 – Eckhardt 14; Willenborg 10; Kirby 2; Lupton 2.
    Last Tuesday at home, the eighth-graders defeated Altamont, 29-23, and the seventh-graders were defeated, 41-25.

  • Carlinville tops JV, frosh

    The Vandalia junior varsity team was defeated by Carlinville on Monday, 42-0.
    The Vandals freshman team lost to Carlinville, 27-20, last Thursday.
