  • PHOTOS: Rams get game in on Monday

    Ramsey was the only team in Fayette County to get in a game on Monday, losing to Windsor, 9-3.

    Freshman Brady Reiss pitched five innings of relief, allowing just one run on six hits.

    Junior Tylor Knisley went 4-for-4 at the plate and scored twice.

    Senior Ryan Black added an RBI double, and Carter Hunt was 1-for-3 in the game.

    The Rams would beat Christ Our Rock Lutheran, 2-1, on Tuesday, with Tristan Wesselman delivering a two-run double in the  sixth inning.

  • Vandalia baseball, softball senior days to be on Wednesday

    Vandalia's baseball and softball teams will celebrate their seniors prior to Wednesday's games against Southwestern.

    The senior presentations will begin 5-10 minutes before the 4:30 p.m. start time of each game.

  • Special meeting of county board on Tuesday

    The Fayette County Board will meet in special session at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the large courtroom at the Fayette County Courthouse.

    The lone agenda item is liquor license for Summer Breeze Wine House.

    Due to the rainy weather, the Egyptian-Illini Conference softball tournament has been postponed to Saturday, May 11.

    Vandalia baseball and softball against Litchfield have been canceled for Friday. There will not be a makeup date for the games. Thursday's games against Pana will also not be rescheduled.
