    Vandalia eighth-graders Haley Bigelow and Isaac Daiber were awarded the Vandalia Community Schools Foundation Scholarships.

  • KC financial aid workshop is Friday

    The Kaskaskia College Financial Aid Office will host a FAFSA workshop from 1-3 p.m. this Friday in room L-102 on the KC main campus.
    The purpose of this event is to help college-bound students who need to complete and submit the 2012-13 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
    Completing the FAFSA accurately and on time is the first and most-important step to obtaining state and federal financial aid.
    By completing the FAFSA, students will be able to meet deadlines at the colleges they are considering.

  • Applications now being accepted for Bohner Scholarship

    The Kaskaskia College Foundation has announced that applications are now available for the Steve and Patti Bohner Scholarship, in memory of Robert Burnside.
    Burnside was a lawyer in Vandalia for 67 years and a leader in the Vandalia community. This scholarship has been established in his memory to assist students in achieving their education goals.
    Applicants must be a graduate of Vandalia High School, exhibit financial need and maintain a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

  • Klekamp earns bronze medal at SkillsUSA

    Career and Technical Education students across the state came together on Thursday, April 26, for the opening ceremony of the eighth anniversary of Illinois SkillsUSA in Springfield.
    On Friday morning, April 27, competitions began and by the end of the day, students experienced a day they will never forget.  On Saturday, the ceremonies ended with closing ceremonies and awards.
