    R.I.P. (Restoration in Progress) will be sponsoring its third annual Community Action Team this Saturday to work at the Old State Burial Ground in Vandalia, financially supported by Thrivent Financial.
    The purpose of the Community Action Team is to bring community members together, to live generously, by volunteering to accomplish an unmet need in the community – the restoration and preservation of the Old State Burial Ground.

    • Dawn M. Carter, 20, Watson, was arrested on May 13 on a charge of retail theft. Bond was $1,500.
    • Kendall L. Warner, 46, 612 W. Gallatin St., Apt. 5, Vandalia, was arrested on May 13 on charges of a person over the age of 60, impersonating a peace officer and resisting a peace, and for allegedly violation bail bond. No bond information was listed.
    • Rebecca A. Seaton, 52, Beecher City, was arrested on May 13 for failure to appear in court. Bond was $300.
