  • NHS Hosts Senior Prom

    The National Honor Society at Vandalia Community High School against hosted a Senior Prom at the Vandalia Moose Lodge in Vandalia.

  • St. Elmo Alumni Banquet

    The St. Elmo High School Alumni Banquet will be held May 24 at the St. Elmo High School gym.
    The banquet is open to anyone who has attended St. Elmo school, as well as family members, friends, teachers and support staff.
    Registration begins at 5 p.m., and dinner is at 6 p.m. The cost of the meal is $12.
    Reservations may be made at Fayette County Bank or by calling Laura Feezel, 427-3310. Reservations are requested by May 20.

  • South Central Prom Royalty

    Connor King and Sierra Gunnels were crowned king and queen at the South Central High School prom held on Saturday, April 26.

  • BHS Prom Royalty

    Allyssa Philpot and Jacob Rolfingsmeier were crowned queen and king at the Brownstown High School prom on Saturday, April 26.

  • SCHS Prom

    The Roaring Twenties is the theme for the South Central High School prom, which will be held on Saturday in the high school in Farina.

    The coronation is at 7 p.m., and the Grand March will immediately follow. The prom candidates are pictured above.     Vandalia Community High School will hold its prom from 7-11 p.m. on Saturday, with coronation set for 8 p.m.

  • Health Grant for Brownstown Schools

    Brownstown Community Unit School District #201 received $2,000, along with CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Child Health) curriculum and materials, after deciding to participate in a Coordinated School Health Program.

  • Matthew Sefton receives USAF Academy appointment

    Matthew Brian Sefton of Brownstown has received an appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado.
