• KC offering late-starting classes

    Kaskaskia College will offer a group of late-starting classes for the spring 2019 Semester at the KC Main Campus, education Centers and online.
    These classes are designed with the student’s busy schedule in mind and are held so the student can stay on track toward meeting their educational goals.
    All courses will begin the week of March 18.

  • KC, Greenville renew 2-2 agreement

    Kaskaskia College and Greenville University have partnered together to offer several programs for students to seamlessly transition from their associate’s degree to their bachelor’s degree.
    Students receive their associate’s degree plus additional credit at KC, then transfer to Greenville University to complete their bachelor’s degree.
    Students can transfer up to 87 credits to receive their degree online in the following majors: business management, criminal justice and organizational leadership.

  • Registration information for area school districts

    Registration for area schools have been announced:
    The Brownstown School District is again offering online registration for students in grades K-12 through July 31.
    Parents will still need to attend registration on Aug. 9 to fill out medical information and pay any registration fees.
    By registering online, parents will be able to update their children’s information and save time on registration day.
    To register online, parents log in to their TeacherEase account and follow the link at the top of the page.

  • Registration for fall classes at KC now under way

    Registration for classes at the KC Vandalia Campus for the 2018 fall semester is now in progress.
    The fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 13.
    Taking classes at the education center saves students travel time and reduces gas expenses.
    Some of the student services offered at the center include: placement testing; advising; registration; assistance with financial aid; and free tutoring.

  • Brownstown Students of the Month

    Brownstown Students of the Month for April were: Dalton Lake, son of Matt and Kim Lake, a seventh-grader; and Ashlen Richards, daughter of Darrel Richards and Melissa Willms, a junior.

  • Philpot LLC student trustee

    The Lake Land College student body selected Tessa Philpot of St. Elmo as its 2018-19 student trustee.

  • Wollerman awarded National FFA Organization scholarship

    The National FFA Organization awarded a $1,500 America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders scholarship to Nicholas Wollerman of the Vandalia Community High School.
