    Chamber’s race night rescheduled for March 16
    The Vandalia Chamber of Commerce’s “A Night at the Races” fund-raising event has been rescheduled for Friday, March 16, because of conflicts with its previously scheduled date of this Saturday.
    Held at the Vandalia Country and Golf Club, it begins with dinner at 6 p.m. and features eight taped horse races, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20.

    A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Feb. 9 at All About You Day Spa, a new business located at 522 W. Gallatin.

    Owner Ashley Metzger Miller, center, is joined Mayor Rick Gottman, her parents and several members of the Vandalia Chamber of Commerce. Other members of the spa's staff are Cinde Ward, Mindy Roe and Elaine Feezel.

    Customers of Woolsey Brothers Farm Supply who received invitations for the company's appreciation day dinner are asked to send in the RSVP card by this Saturday.
    That RSVP is necessary to ensure seating and a meal at the company's annual meeting.
    Two meetings are being held – one at noon and the other at 6:30 p.m. – on Thursday, March 1.
    Entertainment for both meetings will be provided by country singer Moe Bandy.

    The Vandalia Rotary Club was the winner in a recent Making A Difference Challenge against First United Methodist Church of Vandalia.

    In that challenge, the two groups competed to see who could get the most donors to the Red Cross blood drive on Jan. 24. Rotary donated the $200 prize to Habitat for Humanity.
