    Tarzan, the Little Frog is back…
    … and we think he is courting a little girl tree frog. He is again hanging around our back deck and often sings to us when we are out side.

    Short Trip
    Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter traveled to Kentucky to attend the 400-Mile Yard Sale.
    They spent the night in Paducah on Thursday and traveled to Hopkinsville on Friday.
    On Saturday, they went to Jackson, Mo., to watch grandson, Dru Eller compete in a baseball tournament.
    They returned home on Sunday.
    Birth
    Sam and Shayla Stock are the parents of a son, born on May 29, 2018. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 20 inches long, and has been named Kru Richard.

    Blood Drive
    The PTL of St. Peter’s Lutheran School is sponsoring a community blood drive for St. Peter and the surrounding area on Monday, May 14, from 2-6 p.m., in the St. Peter’s Lutheran School gym.
    Spring Musical
    St. Peter’s Lutheran School will present its spring musical, “Echoes of the Hammer,” on Sunday, May 6, at 6 p.m. in the school gym.
    The musical tells the story about Martin Luther, the Reformation and the spread of the Gospel. All grades, preK-8, will participate.

    The Brownstown  First Responders & Firefighters …
    … are high on the list of Brownstown’s most valuable assets.
    A little family in Brownstown was in dire straits recently and, literally, their  lives were at stake.
    The father took the expectant mother to their hospital (not in this county) when the mother began experiencing contractions, as she was already the mother of two children and knew this was not a false alarm.

    Visits Grandparents
    Two-year-old Henry Harpster of Jackson, Mo., spent Friday night with his grandparents, Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter.
    His parents picked him up on Saturday after attending the Cardinals game on Friday night.
    Blood Drive
    The PTL of St. Peter’s Lutheran School is sponsoring a community blood drive for St. Peter and the surrounding area on Monday, May 14. It will be held in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Gym from 2-6 p.m.

    Visit Children
    Dane and Belinda Harpster of St. Peter spent the weekend at the home of their son, Mitch Harpster and family of Jackson, Mo.  On Saturday, Dane and Mitch worked on a home project, while Belinda, Gretchen and the boys attended a book fair for 6-year-old Owen’s school at Barnes & Noble in Cape Girardeau.  Owen’s class performed a few songs while at the book fair.

    Harper Jacquin of St. Peter spent the weekend with her grandparents, Dale and Donna Jacquin of Washington, Mo.
