Wedding

Rachel Clark of Norfolk, Va., and Trevor Elam of New Orleans, La., were united in marriage in a candlelight ceremony at 4 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2011, at First United Brethren Church in Findlay, Ohio, with the Rev. Andrew Atkins, a cousin of the bride, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Julia Clark of Cottage Grove, Minn., and granddaughter of Alvena Bonham of Ohio.
Sarah Clark, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.  Bridesmaids were Nicole Balts and Iris Bobren, friends of the bride; and Elise Nye, cousin of the bride.
The groom is the son of Kevin and Elizabeth Elam of Vandalia. Grandparents are Ross and Carolyn Kershaw of Vandalia, and the late Floyd and Doris Elam.
Chad Elam, brother of the groom, served as best man.   Groomsmen were Carlos Balandran, Ian Brown, Kieran Brown and Nicholas Schulze, all friends of the groom.
Susanna Atkins, cousin of the bride, and Emma Kershaw, cousin of the groom, were flower girls and Caleb Atkins, cousin of the bride, and Dillan Elam, cousin of the groom, were ring bearers.
Jacob Atkins, cousin of the bride, and John Bellefeuille, friend of the couple, were ushers.
Makayla Kershaw, cousin of the groom, attended the guest book, and Ashlyn and Olivia Kershaw, cousins of the groom, handed out programs.
Pianist was Joetta Carles of Findlay, Ohio.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at The Centre in Bluffton, Ohio.
After honeymooning in Nashville, Tenn., and New Orleans, La., the couple is stationed in Naples, Italy, where they are both petty officers in the Navy and members of the U.S. Naval Forces Europe Band.
