Vandals complete second summer shootout

The second summer Vandal Shootout was completed last Friday, with Breese Central, DuQuoin and Harrisburg going undefeated in pool play, and Mounds Meridian winning the tournament. The Vandalia High School boys basketball team was 1-5 in pool play, defeating Cumberland, and lost its first game in the tournament to Benton. The final two summer shootouts will be from June 20-21 and June 23-24. Below are results of the shootout. The Vandals were 3-3 in pool play, and 1-1 during the tournament segment. In the first game of the tournament, Vandalia defeated Brownstown, 27-18, and in the second game, the Vandals lost to Egyptian, 29-26, in overtime. The results of the shootout follow.
