CARLINVILLE  — Because there are no lights at Carlinville's high school baseball field, the regional quarterfinal game between Vandalia and Carlinville was suspended after 11 innings on Monday due to impending darkness.

Tied at 4-4, the game will resume at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon in Carlinville, with the winner facing No. 1 seed Litchfield in the regional semifinals at Vandalia on Wednesday.

The fifth-seeded Vandals led for the most of the game before the No. 5 Cavaliers tied it in the sixth inning, but that would be the last of the scoring.
