Vandalia attorney elected judge

Cynthia Y. Cobbs, director of the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, announced on Thursday afternoon that the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court judges voted to select Jeffrey M. "Marc" Kelly as an associate judge of the Fourth Judicial Circuit.

Kelly, a Vandalia Community High School graduate, earned an undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 1996, and his juris doctorate from John Marshall in Chicago in 2000.

The son of Linda Kelly and the late Judge William "Bill" Kelly, Kelly is currently affiliated with the Vandalia law firm of Burnside, Johnston, Sheafor and Kelly.
