Vandalia 18U tops Altamont, splits with Edwards County

The Vandalia 18U team scored six times in the opening frame on their way to an 8-3 win against Altamont at home on Monday.
Johnny Lotz was 3-for-4, and Thomas Ritchey, Caleb Slater and Nolan White each added two hits as Vandalia collected 12 hits in the win.
Kyle Guffey got the win, holding Altamont to just one hit while striking out eight and walking three in three innings. Blake Morrison hurled the final three innings, giving up two hits, striking three and walking four.
