Two have new meth charges

Two individuals who are awaiting trials on methamphetamine charges were arrested last week on new meth charges.
Fayette County State's Attorney Stephen Friedel last Friday filed information that charges Eric Hohlt and Angela M. Bone with three felony meth offenses.
Both Hohlt and Bone have been charged with:
• Participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, a Class X felony punishable by up to 40 years in prison.
• Unlawful possession of anhydrous ammonia, one of the ingredients in the manufacture of methamphetamine. The offense is a Class 1 felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison, or up to 30 years for individuals eligible for extended terms.
• Unlawful possession of methamphetamine-manufacturing materials, including pieces of bicycle inner tubes, a plastic pen tube, a partial can of Heet, two burned foil strips, two coffee filters, a plastic drinking straw and a plastic spoon. This offense is a Class 2 felony punishable by up to seven years in prison, or up to 14 years in prison for individuals eligible for extended terms.
Bond was set at $200,000 for Hohlt, 45, 1110 N. Fourth St., Vandalia. Jeff DeLong was appointed by the court to represent Hohlt.
Bone, a resident of Greenville, had her bond set at $100,000. Bone’s court-appointed attorney is Trent West.
Hohlt is awaiting trial on charges filed in December of last year.
He was charged with the manufacture of between 400 and 900 grams of methamphetamine, a Class X felony, and possession of methamphetamine-manufacturing materials.
A pretrial hearing in that case has been set for March 19.
Bone was charged in June of last year with possession of up to 20 grams of a methamphetamine precursor, a Class 1 felony, and possession of methamphetamine-manufacturing materials.
A jury trial in that case is tentatively set for April 2.
