• Jose Paxtain-Perez, 29, RR 2, Ramsey, was arrested on July 23 on a charge of driving without a license. Bond was $1,500.
• Donald W. Britton, 51, Effingham, was arrested on July 22 on a charge of resisting or obstructing a peace officer, and on warrants from Fayette, Richland, Marion and Edwards counties. No bond amount was listed.
• Edward L. Stief, 30, Effingham, was arrested on July 22 on charges of driving while his license is suspended or revoked and driving without taillights. Bond is $1,500.
• Dion L. Williams, 32, St. Louis, Mo., was arrested on July 22 for failure to appear in court on a charge of manufacture or delivery of cannabis. Bond was $10,000.
• Michael T. Childerson, 29, 1825 W. Jefferson St., Vandalia, was arrested on July 21 on a St. Louis County warrant on a charge of retail theft. He was transferred to St. Louis County.

• Jason W. Miller, 36, RR 2, Ramsey, was arrested on July 20 on a charge of aggravated battery. Bond was $50,000.
• Sherif Sadik, 22, Hazelwood, Mo., was arrested on July 20 on a charge of aggravated assault. Bond was $1,500.
• Ken A. Thoman, 55, RR 1, Bluff City, was arrested on July 20 on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and driving while his license is suspended. Bond was $1,500.
• Robert E. Smith, 53, RR 2, Vandalia, was arrested on July 20 on a charge of criminal damage to property. He was released at the order of the state’s attorney’s office.
• Jacob A. Willis, 26, 904 W. Johnson St., Vandalia, was arrested on July 19 for failure to appear in Montgomery County court. Bond was $2,000.
