A slow second half allowed Shelbyville to erase its 27-16 deficit against Brownstown last Thursday, as the Lady Bombers fell, 44-42.
Juniors Molly Hill and Audriana Pruett each had 12 points to pace Brownstown (1-1), which only scored 15 points in the second half.
The Lady Bombers missed eight free throws in the second half, and made just 40 percent of those shots in the game.

South Central more than doubled its scoring output from the season-opener in a 57-32 loss at North Clay last Thursday.
Freshman Abby King had a career-high six points – all in the first quarter – and Macie Cain had a season-high 14 for South Central (0-2), but slow second and third quarters allowed the Lady Cardinals to take a commanding lead.
The Lady Cougars lost their season-opener, 50-14.
Sophomore Jenna Rose had a team-high six rebounds, and she, freshman Lauren Lotz and Cain each lead the team with eight on the season.
