PHOTOS: Local athletic camps
Several camps took place in the past week.
Vandalia graduate Kyle Hawkins is the lead instructor at this week’s Field of Dreams camp. The camp began on Monday and continues through Friday at Vandalia Mutual Field. Hawkins is pictured above addressing some of the older pitchers in camp on Monday, telling them to, ‘Never lose confidence in yourself – as a pitcher or in life.’ There were 42 campers present for the first day of the event, a large increase from last year.
