Vandalia sophomore Kyle Miller rolled a 1,405 series, with a 234.17 average, to win the championship of the Illinois High School Association Boys Bowling Regional at Salem on Monday.
Miller had games of 212, 216, 268 for a 696 total in his first series, and 195, 246 and 268 for a 709 total in his second series.
Miller’s closest competitor was Triad junior Bruce Pisetta, who had a 1,281 total.
By winning the regional title, Miller advances to the IHSA Sectional Tournament this Saturday at Bowl Haven in Alton.
