Lady Vandals get two more wins

The Vandalia Junior High Lady Vandals picked up two more wins in the past week, defeated Carlyle last Thursday and pounding Pana for the second time this season on Tuesday.
Holly Lidy got the win in the 8-2 victory against Carlyle, giving up five hits and one run, striking out eight and walking three in six innings.
Delaney Kopp pitched the seventh inning, giving up a run, and two hits.
Offensively, Kopp was 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Anna Osborne drove in two runs for the Lady Vandals.

On Tuesday, Vandalia scored 15 runs in the first inning on their way to a 23-3 win against Pana.
Gracie Philpot led the offensive attack with a home run and three runs batted in, and she scored three times.
Philpot also got the win, giving up three hits and three runs, striking out six and walking two in the three-inning contest.
Amassing just six hits, the Lady Vandals took advantage of three errors and 14 walks.
