Judge denies Baker request for a lighter sentence

-A A +A
By Rich Bauer, Managing Editor

A judge has denied the request for a lighter sentence sought by a Loogootee man who murdered his neighbors while he was a teen.
In a docket entry made filed last Wednesday, Judge Allan Lolie stated his reasons for denying Clifford W. Baker’s motion for reconsideration of his sentence.
Baker, now 23, was convicted in October 2011 of fatally shooting neighbors John Michael “Mike” Mahon and Debra Tish while they slept in their Loogootee home in the early morning hours of Aug. 4, 2010.
