Garage Fire

Vandalia firefighter Kyle Reiss battles a garage fire at the residence of Gary Graumenz, 515 W. Fillmore St., last Friday morning. Firefighters were dispatched at 11:44 a.m. and were at the scene until shortly after 1:30 p.m. Vandalia Fire Chief Mark Meadows said that the fire may have been caused by a wood stove or electrical issue. No damage estimate was given.
