ExxonMobil Annuitants

The ExxonMobil Annuitants Club met on Thursday, May 31, at Ponderosa Steakhouse in Vandalia for its monthly meeting and luncheon.
The pledge of allegiance was followed with Brock Fisher giving the prayer before the meal. After the meal, President Dean Black welcomed everyone, including guests.
Elloise Black introduced to the group the guest speaker, Lynn Gartke, program director for the Center for Senior Renewal. Gartke gave an outline of all the services that they have to offer at the center.
There were 27 members and nine guests present. The guests were Marge Harre, Pam Orr, Stacey Langston, Jane Hammond, Millie Brooks, and Kenneth and Angie Hagan and their granddaughter, Ashley Hymes, from Decatur, plus Gartke.
The secretary and treasurer reports for April were read and approved.
Birthdays and anniversaries for May were read. The Blacks had their 50th wedding anniversary on May 27.
A thank you note was read from the family of Sue Burrow. Several articles were read.
Next month’s meeting will be at the same location on June 28, and the club will pay for the meal for members.
