Country client services given top ranking

COUNTRY Financial posted the lowest complaint ratio among Illinois auto, home and life insurers in 2011, according to the Illinois Department of Insurance (IDOI).
The company has had the lowest auto complaint ratio for 12 of the past 13 years, and has ranked among the top two home insurers for the past 13 years.
COUNTRY Life also had the lowest complaint ratio among 29 companies for the second straight year. Prior to 2010, COUNTRY Life did not appear in the ranking because the IDOI received fewer than 10 complaints. IDOI officials changed the ranking system in 2010 to list companies for which they received five or more written complaints.
Auto and home complaint ratios are based on the number of complaints received for every $1 million in written premium. Life insurance complaint ratios are based on the number of complaints per 10,000 policies in force.
“We are committed to our clients and helping them achieve financial security as they define it," said Kurt Bock, COUNTRY chief executive officer.
"These complaint ratios serve as a testament to the fact that our employees and financial representatives have built lasting relationships with our clients for nearly 87 years.”
