? The St. Elmo School District will hold an informational meeting on the county school facility sales tax at 7 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
Friday, March 25
? The Fayette County Knights of Columbus will hold an all-you-can-eat fish fry every Friday through Lent at 5 p.m. at the Mother of Dolors Parish Center, Seventh and St. Clair streets, Vandalia. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children ages 5-11, and it includes drinks and dessert. It is open to the public, and those presenting a church bulletin or this calendar entry get 50 cents off the cost of their meal.
Saturday, March 26
? A country music dance and potluck is held from 7-10 p.m. every Saturday at 202 W. Madison St. in Ramsey (the former Baptist Church). Admission is $5.
Sunday, March 27
? A retirement celebration for Maurice Trexler and his wife, June, will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, 616 W. Jackson St., Vandalia. Maurice Trexler retired after serving as the Fayette County Democratic chairman for 30 years.
? A dance will be held from 3-6 p.m. at the Corn Crib in Shobonier. "Broken Arrow 2" will perform. Admission is $5.

? The Brownstown School District will hold an informational meeting on the county school facility sales tax at 7 p.m. in the high school.
Tuesday, March 29
? The Vandalia Rotary Club will meet at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? Evans Public Library in Vandalia will hold a lapsit story time at 6 p.m. The theme is "Luck of the Irish."
? The Vandalia School District will hold an informational meeting on the county school facility sales tax at 7 p.m. in the Little Theater at Vandalia Elementary School.

? A Lenten Luncheon will be held at at noon at St. James Lutheran Church in Vandalia. Al Schumacher will be the speaker.
