Lake Land College
A number of local residents are among the spring 2018 graduates at Lake Land College in Mattoon:
• Bingham – James Koonce, certificate, paramedic services; and Kayla Koonce, certificate and associate’s degree in accounting.
• Brownstown – Kyrstyn Fitch, associate’s degree, liberal arts; Samuel Miller, certificate, management; and Zeke Philpot, certificate in programmable logic controllers and associate’s degree in electronics engineering technology.
• Farina – Julia Roberts, associate’s degree in nursing; India Sidwell, certificates for management and professional sales, and associate’s degree in marketing; and Kassandra Viramontes, associate’s degree in business administration.
• Fillmore – Kali Hand, associate’s degree in agriculture business and supply.
• Herrick – Briana Gour, associate’s degree in nursing; and Amy Rhoades, associate’s degree in nursing.
• Ramsey – Rachel Strobel, associate’s degree in early childhood care and education.
• St. Elmo – Nathaniel Hooks, associate’s degree in criminal justice; Madason Ledbetter, associate’s degree in nursing; Trey Pasley, certificate for heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration; and Shelby Underwood, associate’s degree in bioscience non-teaching.
• St. Peter – Deidra Schaal, certificate for desktop publishing graphic design, and associate’s degree in desktop publishing graphic design.
• Vandalia – Lindsey Allen, associate’s degree in human services-sociology; and Kaylin Black, associate’s degree in elementary education.

McKendree University
President’s list – Morgan Hall of Vandalia. Students on the president’s list have a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
Dean’s list – Madeline Cade of Vandalia, Kristina Colman of Kinmundy, Kyle Klawitter of Mulberry Grove and Elizabeth Mesnard of Edgewood. Students on the dean’s list have a grade-point average of 3.60-3.99.

University of Illinois
Students named to the dean’s list at University of Illinois-Springfield for the fall semester include Jenna Miller of St. Elmo and Hannah Blythe of Vandalia.
To be named to the dean’s list, students must have a grade-point average of at least 3.75.

Blackburn College
Spring graduates at Blackburn College in Carlinville included Cody Bumgardner of Ramsey; Katrina Jahn of Shobonier; and Karlee Brimberry of Vandalia (cum laude).
Blackburn College, a Presbyterian-related, coeducational college, is one of seven work colleges in the United States, and was been ranked by U.S. News as one of the Top 50 Midwest Colleges in 2016.
