Metro Church plans Kids Bible Kamp
Metro Community Church will host a Kids Bible Kamp on July 11-14 at Rogier Park in Vandalia. The daily camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon for children from age 4 years through sixth grade.
Under the theme of a "safari adventure," the event will include Bible stories, an obstacle course, sno cones, music and games.

Mother of Dolors plans rummage sale
Mother of Dolors Catholic Church in Vandalia will hold its annual rummage sale on Friday and Saturday, July 8 and 9.
The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. It will be held at the parish center, which is located at 705 W. St. Clair St. in Vandalia.
All items remaining will be sold at half price on Saturday.
Items for sale include clothing for infants, children and adults, as well as books, household items and more.

Bluegrass concert Saturday in Bethalto
A bluegrass gospel concert featuring the Barry Jones Family from Ironton, Mo., will be held this Saturday at 7 p.m. at Bethalto Church of God.
The church is located at 800 E. Bethalto Drive in Bethalto.

Mother of Dolors schedule change
Mother of Dolors now has a different schedule for its services on Saturday.
The Sacrament of Reconciliation will be offered from 3-3:45 p.m. and the Saturday Liturgy will be celebrated at 4 p.m. The time for the Liturgy is an hour earlier than it was previously.

Revival Run set for Saturday, July 16
Liberty Christian Church will be holding its annual Revival Run on Saturday, July 16, beginning at 7 a.m.
The event includes a four-mile competitive run or a two-mile fun walk.
Participants can register the day of the race, beginning at 6:30 a.m., or pre-register by calling Erin Schaub at 267-9512. Her e-mail address is erinbeth75@hotmail.com. The registration fee is $20.
Pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt.
All proceeds will benefit Liberty Christian Church youth groups.

Augsburg plans benefit for Chris Bauer
Immanuel Lutheran Augsburg Church will host an all-afternoon  benefit for Chris Bauer on Sunday, July 10, at the fellowship hall.
The benefit includes live music, a live auction, a raffle and several activities for children. The activities start at 11:30 a.m.
Also, a free-will offering will be accepted, and all money given will be matched by Thrivent Financial.
Bauer was seriously injured in a truck accident in Wyoming. He and his wife, Karen, have two children: Patrick, 17, and Ashley, 13.
The church is located on St. Peter blacktop, four miles east of Shobonier. For more information, call 846-8383.

King Family to play Monday at Hillsboro
The King Family of Monticello will perform at Hillsboro's Fourth of July celebration on Monday at Lake Hillsboro.
The concert begins at 8 p.m.
The group includes Tim and Kim King, and their seven children, who range in age from 6 to 20 years old.
