VBS this week at Overcup Baptist

Overcup Baptist Church is hosting Vacation Bible School this week. It is running from 6-8:30 p.m. daily.
The theme is "Adventures on Promise Island."

Liberty Christian to host VBS program

Liberty Christian Church will host a week of Vacation Bible School next Monday through Friday. The program will run from 6:30-8:30 p.m. daily.
It is open to children from ages 3-5 and kindergarten through sixth grade.

Liberty Christian Church is located 5 1/2 miles north of Brownstown on College Street.

Father's Day to be observed at St. Paul

Father's Day will be celebrated at St. Paul Lutheran Church of rural Shobonier this Sunday with 9 a.m. services.
Then, beginning at 10 a.m., Bob Schroeder will present a program in which he'll show photos of his recent trip to Germany. There, he visited several Martin Luther sites and the Wittenberg project for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod.

St. James, Zion to hold service at lake

St. James Lutheran and Zion Lutheran churches will hold a joint service at Vandalia Lake on Sunday, June 24.
The 10:30 a.m. service will be held at the Lions Pavilion, and will be followed by a potluck meal.
Participants are asked to bring a covered dish and table service.

Lesters to present concert in Hillsboro  

The Lesters of St. Louis will appear in concert at the Fourth of July  celebration at Lake Hillsboro. They will perform at 8 p.m.
Often called the "first family of gospel music," the Lesters have been singing together for more than four generations. The group includes Brian Lester, Ginger (Lester) Pitchers and Jonathan Lester. For more information, call Laura Sturm at (217) 532-3734.
