St. James, Zion to hold service at lake

St. James Lutheran and Zion Lutheran churches will hold a joint service at Vandalia Lake on Sunday, June 24.
The 10:30 a.m. service will be held at the Lions Pavilion, and will be followed by a potluck meal.
Participants are asked to bring a covered dish and table service.

Lesters' concert set for Fourth of July

The Lesters of St. Louis will appear in concert at the Fourth of July  celebration at Lake Hillsboro. They will perform at 8 p.m.
Often called the "first family of gospel music," the Lesters have been singing together for more than four generations. The group includes Brian Lester, Ginger (Lester) Pitchers and Jonathan Lester. For more information, call Laura Sturm at (217) 532-3734.

Rehoboth concert-dinner fundraiser set

Rehoboth Baptist Church Camp will hold a concert-dinner fundraiser from 4-8:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, at the camp.
Dinner will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Christian artists Lexi Perkins, FourGiven Quartet, Andy Whitten Band and Ambassadors of Grace will be presenting the gospel in song.
A love offering will be taken.
Those planning to attend are asked to take a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
The church camp is located four miles north of Vandalia on U.S. Route 51, with signs to be on the west side of the highway.
In the event of rain, activities will be moved to the Vandalia Junior High School gym.
