? The Golden Years Club in Brownstown will hold its annual old-fashioned ice cream social at the Golden Years building, First and Division streets. Ice cream, pie, desserts and sandwiches will be served from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

? A horse show will be held at the Okaw Saddle Club, located northwest of Vandalia, at Lakewood Drive and Thrill Hill Road. The pleasure classes begin at 9 a.m., and the speed classes begin at 1 p.m.

? The Vandalia Women of the Moose will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Vandalia Moose Lodge.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 7:30 p.m. at city hall.
Tuesday, July 2

? The Network Masters chapter of Business Networking International, which includes Vandalia, meets every Tuesday morning in the conference room at 3 Point Ink, 1550 U.S. Route 40 in Greenville. Open marketing begins at 7:45 a.m., and the meeting runs from 8-9:30 a.m. For more information, contact chapter President Greg Tomlinson at 292-2267.
? Heartland Human Services will hold a Caregiver Connection seminar, "Compassionate Communication," from 3-4 p.m. in the conference room at Brookstone Estates, 1607 W. Fillmore St., Vandalia. Refreshments will be provided.

? The Vandalia Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon in the Lincoln Room at Ponderosa Steakhouse. A luncheon is followed by a business meeting and a program. Ella York of the Illinois Attorney General's Office will present the program.

? The Vandalia Lions Club is hosting a carnival at the Vandalia Lake campgrounds July 4-6.
