? The Kaskaskia Eagle Fest will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Kaskaskia Lock and Dam at Modoc. It will include eagle-watching with spotting scopes; World Bird Sanctuary presentations at 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; and children's activities with an eagle souvenir.

? The Fayette County Genealogical and Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. in the Lincoln Room at Evans Public Library in Vandalia. The meeting will include the agenda planned for the January meeting, which was canceled due to bad weather. New officers will also be installed. Last-minute family histories may be turned in at this meeting, and information in those histories will be part of the program. The public is invited to attend the meeting.
