? The Vandalia Moose Lodge is holding an all-you-can-eat fried chicken and fish dinner for members and qualified guests from 5:30-6:30 p.m. The cost is $8.
? The Vandalia Community High School talent show is at 6 p.m. in the VCHS gym.
? Bingo at the American Legion Home at 7 p.m.
? A Nar-Anon meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at Northside Christian Church, 1845 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Sunday, March 15

? A fundraising meal for the Meals on Wheels program will be held from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Golden Circle Senior Citizens Center, 616 W. Jackson St., Vandalia. The meal includes fried chicken, ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and noodles, gourmet carrots, corn, rolls, homemade desserts, and tea, lemonade and coffee. The cot is $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 8 and under. A silent auction and raffles will be held. Call 283-1040 to make reservations.
? The Southern Illinois Homecoming Gospel Choir will perform at Unity Baptist Church, Ill. Route 185 and Airport Road in Vandalia, at 6 p.m. The concert is free, and love offerings will be accepted.

? The Grief Share support group meets at 6 p.m. at Farina United Methodist Church, 311 Jackson St., Farina.
? The Vandalia City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. at city hall.
? The Fayette County Democratic Central Committee meets at 7:30 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, 616 W. Jackson St., Vandalia.

Tuesday, March 17

? The Christian Ladies Breakfast Club meets at 9:30 a.m. at Chuck Wagon Restaurant on Janett Avenue. It includes devotionals, prayer, fellowship and breakfast on your own. For more information, contact Faye Watson at 267-8487.
? The Vandalia Rotary Club meets at noon at Ponderosa Steakhouse.
? The Vandalia Board of Education meets at 5 p.m. in the district's administration center.

Thursday, March 19

? And American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 2-6 p.m. at Ramsey Grade School.
? The United Methodist Men at First United Methodist Church in Vandalia will hold their annual pancake and sausage supper from 4:30-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall at the church. Donations will be accepted for the meal. Proceeds with benefit the Methodist Men projects.
? The New Beginnings grief support group meets at 2 p.m. in the community room at Fayette County Hospital.

Sunday, March 22

? The Fayette County Extension Foundation is holding a chicken or beef noodle dinner from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Brownstown Elementary School cafeteria. Free-will donations will be accepted for the meal, which will also include mashed potatoes, green beans, homemade desserts and drinks. The proceeds benefit Fayette County 4-H and Extension programs.
? Historical Vandalia Inc. will hold a free "Meet the Author" from 2-3 p.m. at the Fayette Counity Museum, 301 W. Main St., Vandalia. Kevin Corley has authored "Sixteen Tons" and "Birger and Shelton Gangs vs. the Ku Klux Klan in 1920s" " and co-authored "Sundown Town" with Douglas E. King. All are about Christian County mine war history.
