The city of Vandalia's Building & Zoning Department issued the following permits in August:
• Pete Burnam, for a retaining wall at 2065 S. Lake Drive (lake lot No. 132).
• Darrell Pryor, for a new trailer, deck and holding tank at Vandalia Lake lot No. 1.
• Joe and Mary Cole, for a fence at 833 N. Sixth St.
• Fayette County Health Department, for a remodeling project at 416 W. Edwards St.
• Jerry Summers, for a deck, steps and floating dock at Vandalia Lake lot No. 149.
• Vaughn's Contracting, for a vinyl fence at 3042 Lake Wood Drive.
