Senior Connor Beasley tied the school record for wins by a pitcher, and junior Levi Maxey hit a grand slam last Thursday to lead St. Elmo past Beecher City, 8-2.

Beasley struck out 15 batters over six innings of work to record the 30th win of his career, tying the school standard set by Logan Mahon.

Earlier in the season, Beasley set the school record with 19 strikeouts in one game.

Maxey’s grand slam was the key hit in a seven-run fourth inning for the Eagles (6-5).
