The Lady Eagles came up short of their first win Monday evening, as they fell to Okaw Valley, 12-2.
Despite the lopsided score, St. Elmo played well throughout, as Tess Philpot went all five innings, allowing just seven hits.

Mulberry Grove Softball
The Lady Aces struggled Tuesday evening, as they played without some key players, ultimately falling to Lebanon, 15-2.
“We had an issue occur early on in the day that kind of forced some people to step up into positions they haven’t been in. Our pitcher today, this is the first varsity competition she has thrown in. Considering that, she did a very good job and we had some other people shuffled around the lineup. We had some people step, only two errors so defensively we were solid,” Mulberry Grove head coach Lyndsey Beckham said. “Bats weren’t going, we were making solid contact, but we kept pulling it to the left side and that seemed like their strongest side and that’s where we kept hitting it.”

South Central Baseball
The Cougars came up frustratingly close to their first win of the season Monday evening, as they fell to Altamont, 5-3.
A couple of untimely errors fueled a four-run inning for Altamont, as South Central could not comeback from there.
