Anniversary

Louie and Martha Turner of Ramsey will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with an open house hosted by their family and friends from 2-4 p.m. this Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Pana.

Louie “Lou” Turner and the former Martha “Marti” Hall were married on May 1, 1971, at First Assembly of God Church in Pekin, with the Rev. C.E. Richeson officiating.
Their attendants were Marti’s sister, Fran Hall; Marti’s close friend, Rose Phillips; Lou’s cousin, Vivian Ritter; Lou’s friend, Bob Heifers; Marti’s brother, Henry “Hank” Hall; and Lou’s friend, Jack Tyler.
The Turners farmed for several years. Lou recently retired from GSI in Assumption, and Marti is employed by National Bank in Vandalia.
They are both active in their church, First Baptist Church in Pana.
They are the parents of two children: son, John (deceased in 1998), and Valerie and her husband Doug Dewey of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and daughter, Mary and her husband Jeff Hrabak of Findley.
They have five grandchildren: Lane and John “J.T.” Turner, and Anthony, Olivia and Karly Stephens.
A memory book will be compiled, so the Turners request that family and friends write “A Memory of Our Friendship” to be included in the book.
