Coroner identifies missing hunter found Wednesday

Fayette County Coroner David Harris announced on Thursday morning that the hunter who was found deceased earlier in the week has been identified.

Joseph W. Joliff, 48, was discovered at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday in rural Beecher City and pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities from around the area reportedly conducted an overnight search beginning Tuesday for Joliff, when he did not return home from hunting.

Harris said an autopsy has been conducted at Springfield Memorial Hospital, and results are pending. No further information will be released at this time.
