Brownstown High School celebrates graduating class of 2023

The Brownstown High School Class of 2023 completed their high school journey this past Saturday with a graduation ceremony held in the high school gymnasium. 

The 18 seniors walked out in the processional while BHS music teacher Nicholas Tkachuk performed “Pomp and Circumstance” on the French horn.

Class president Morgan Hall then delivered the welcome address.

After the senior memorial video played, Dalton Lake gave a speech as he was recognized as the class Salutatorian.

Valedictorian Natelly Beall then also gave a speech to the large crowd of family and friends.

BHS principal Jeff Wooters recognized students who received academic honors. Those graduates were: Natelly Beall, Trinity Belcher, Blake Bell, Morgan Hall, Dalton Lake, Olivia Rubin, and Keturah Sidwell.

Taylor Claycomb and Lexi Seabaugh served as honor marshalls.

Superintendent Mike Shackelford then presented the class and awarded diplomas, before the traditional throwing of the caps in celebration.
