Joyce F. Merriman, 78, of Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Montgomery Nursing & Rehab in Taylor Springs.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, July 23, 2021, at Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, with Rev. Michael Plummer officiating. Friends and family may gather at the cemetery at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue, rural Vandalia. She was born October 2, 1942, in Decatur, the daughter of Dean Merrit and Lois Louise (McCamon) Hartman. She married Keith Earl Merriman on June 12, 1960, in Van Burensburg; he passed away May 22, 2005. She was a homemaker and member of Liberty Baptist Church, Fillmore.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Morris and Keith, Lebanon, and Sandy Townsend and David, Vandalia; a son – Scott Merriman and Andrea, Jefferson City, MO; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and sisters – Judy Ambrose, Pana, and Janet Ervin and Tom, Hillsboro.

Preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Keith Merriman, and special friend Dwight Kleinik.
