Robert L. Pyle, 81, of Sycamore, formerly of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.
Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 5, at Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia with Pastor Keith Merritt officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery, Rural Fillmore. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, June 5, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials maybe made to Northside Christian Church, Vandalia. He was born November 16, 1939, in Vandalia, the son of Robert Franklin and Cecelia LaVon (Stokes) Pyle. Married Gloria Blankenship on August 5, 1972. He was a retired Foreman at Crane Packing, Vandalia, and former member of Northside Christian Church, Vandalia.
He is survived by a daughter, Deb Rolf and Lonnie, Sycamore; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn Workman and Tom, Vandalia.
Preceded in death by his parents; wife; and son, Warren “Brad” Smith.
