More than 200 baskets were given out to local children by the Vandlaia Lions Club. There were 26 businesses on the list for children to visit to get their Easter treats that morning.
Area children stand in line for their turn to pick out an Easter basket in order to go to participating businesses to collect eggs last Saturday, There were 26 businesses which participated in the event.
Kelly Washburn, left, of Fayette County Real Estate offers a basket of Easter treats to Claire McClain, 3, daughter of Jamie and Josh McClain. Some businesses, like the Fayette County Real Estate and the Vandalia Leader-Union, combined forces to distribute candy and other goodies to children.
