She married Gary Bone on May 7, 1960, in Vandalia, and they celebrated over 60 years of marriage. Lois was a stay at home mother and babysat for children once her own children were grown. In her free time she enjoyed playing tennis, gardening, and bird watching. She loved her grandkids and spent her time taking them on picnics, making Christmas cookies, and attending all of their sporting events. She enjoyed being the dog sitter for many and thoroughly loved her “big dog Hayley”. One of her bucket list wishes was to travel all 50 states and she was able to achieve that with her husband. Lois was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind her husband, Gary Bone; son, Steve (Judi) Bone; daughters, Renee (Scott) Woodward and Susan (Bradley) Spawr; eight grandchildren: Jacob Roderick, Jared Roderick, Kyrstie Roderick, Kierstyn (Chase) Green, Peyton (Keaton) Wright, Braydon Bone, Katie Spawr and Braden Spawr, and six great-grandchildren.
