Scott Luallen, 70 of Salem, formerly of Vandalia, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, at his home.
Scott was born on Oct. 18, 1950, in Vandalia, the son of Duane E. and Betty Anne (Joines) Luallen. He married Donna K. (Beets) Luallen on May 21, 1974, in Salem; she preceded him in death on July 17, 2018.
Services will be held on Wednesday at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery in Salem. Masks and social distancing will be encouraged; masks will be available at request. Memorials: C.O.P.E. (Children of Pokot Educational Fund), and can be left at the funeral home. Scott was an elder at Evergreen Christian Church for many years. He retired from World Color Press in Salem. In his younger years, he worked as an EMT.
Survivors include his sons, Jacob Luallen and wife Sarah of Johnson City, Tenn., and Justin Luallen of Salem; daughter, Erin Luallen and husband Kaleb of Salem; grandchildren, Bronwyn Schulte, Shade Luallen and Teeghen Luallen; sister, Beth Hoffman and husband Kent of Vandalia.
