Area golfers do well at Drysdale

A group of area golfers had stellar showings at the KONE Drysdale Tournament in Springfield, with a couple of them bringing home championship trophies last Thursday.

In the Boys 14-15 Division at Bunn Golf Course, Jonah Beesley defeated Drew Suhre, 6 up with five holes to go, to win the First Flight championship.
Beesley advanced to the championship match by defeating Carson Conklin, 3&1, in the semifinals.
Charlie Reiss of Ramsey won the championship in the Second Flight of the Boys 14-15 Division, defeating Brawly Jacobs, 7&5.
Reiss advanced to the championship with a 2 up win over Brady Kinney on Wednesday.
In the Boys 16-17 Division, Vandalia’s Chase Laack was defeated in the championship match by Brady Kaufmann, 4&3.
Laack made it to the championship with a 3&2 win over Tobin Nell on Wednesday.
In the Championship Flight of the Boys 14-15 Division, Vandalia’s Conner McCall fell to Carter Etheridge, 3&1.
McCall on Wednesday defeated Peyton Woods, 3&2, to advance to the championship match.
In the Boys 8-10 Division on Thursday at Bergen Golf Course, Max Reiss of Ramsey was defeated by Austin Gideon, 2&1.
Reiss on Wednesday defeated Stuart Moore, 3&2.
