South Central squad edges Vandalia 15U

The South Central Storm Chasers held off a late rally in defeating Vandalia in a nine-inning 15U baseball contest last Thursday at Vandalia Mutual Field.

The Storm Chasers were up 7-5 going into the bottom of the ninth when Jaydon Lotz doubled and scored when Reid Well reached on an error.
The Vandals had runners on first and third when the Storm Chasers closed out the win.
They scored twice in the fourth when Well and Cayden Hipsher singled, Carson Ruot drove home Well with a single and Owen Miller’s single scored Hipsher.
In the fifth, Andrew Kelly and Matthew Hagy walked, Well singled to drive in Kelly and Ruot singled to score Hagy and Well.
