KC offering TEAS prep class for nursing

The Kaskaskia College Office of Industrial and Continuing Education is offering a TEAS Test prep class in an online format.
Nursing is a high-demand but competitive field. Entering the profession starts with nursing school, and admission to nursing school partially depends on your Test of Essential Academic Skills exam score.
Many nursing schools use this standardized exam to evaluate a candidate’s reading, math, science, and English and language skills.
These courses begin monthly and are available in two parts to address a student’s individual needs.
TEAS Preparation-Part 1 – The TEAS Prep 1 course will prepare students for the Reading and English Language portions of the TEAS exam.
Through the hands-on lessons, you will identify your learning style, develop a test-taking strategy, and acquire the skills needed to master the reading and English language usage sections.
TEAS Preparation-Part 2 – This course will prepare students for the Math and Science portions of the TEAS exam.
All instructor-facilitated online courses run for six weeks (with a 10-day grace period at the end).
Courses are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas, supplementary links and more.
Students can complete any of these courses entirely from their home or office at any time of the day or night.
The instructional materials required for this course are included in enrollment.
New course sessions begin monthly, so register now. Visit the Online Instruction Center to see exact start dates, www.ed2go.com/kaskaskia.  Individual class prices start at $115, or $199 for both classes.
